More Insight about Teeth Whitening Products

Today with more and more people opting for tooth whitening treatment, it has been affirmed that it can often lead to sensitivity and soreness in exchange for a white and brighter smile.

If you visit dentist whitening you will learn that it is normal to experience sore teeth after using the whitening products. This soreness of the teeth, however, is temporary and does not last long once the whitening process is over.

The dental experts though are not very clear as to why this sensitivity is experienced by so many people who either seek professional dental help or use at home whitening kits like teeth whitening bleaching. It is widely believed that this happens when peroxide which is used for teeth bleaching comes in contact with the tissue in the teeth.

Most of the whitening products use peroxide as the bleaching agent for the teeth which in turn leads to sore gums and sore teeth.

There are various whitening products which you may use like strips that stick to the teeth, gel that is painted on the teeth with the brush and dental trays. While some of these products are used for less than a week and others for two weeks to up to a month.

Apart from those mentioned above, there are also daily teeth whiteners which can be applied for a few minutes every day. However, all these products are prone to causing soreness in the teeth. The soreness is not long term and dissipates after a day or two. You can, however, contact your dentist if you experience severe pain.
